Adapting Yoga:
Know Your Own Practice workshops for Yoga teachers introducing you to the Universal principles of Yoga and the insights needed to share Yoga with everybody
What does adapting yoga mean?
Teaching the experience of the pose and the universal principles that run through all poses and bodies, not just the physical asana.
One of the teacher's main roles is to help the student believe that the subtle sensations of inner awareness are real, accessible and powerful.
This is only possible if the teacher has accessed such sensations in his or her own practice before starting to figure out how to share them with students.
This is why the first workshop on adaptive yoga starts from our own asana practice.
We will help each other, through references and adjustments, to experience the poses in different ways, exploring different core themes:

- Grounding, extension and expansion
- The connection between the spine and the limbs
- The connection between awareness and the chest
- Alignment and inner awareness
- Space and the inner body
- Balance as a mind-body sensation
- The multiple directions of poses
- Gravity, perspective and base variations
- Rythm and fluidity: inhabiting our body
